Just cuz you don't see lots of comments, doesn't mean others are not reading and enjoying your blog. Love reading your route descriptions and the few tantalizing pics. Getting psyched to go out and do some tramping!

I'm in New Zealand for a few months. I've just bought Moir's Guide a few days ago and I'm planning to walk the Holyford track and continue with what you describe here since days 9.
So I'm happy to find in the Internet someone else how did it.
Thank you for sharing your experience :-)

It is worth noting to people that rakopi is private land as is any access to the beach, mind you we here would rather you didnt advertise the community's existence or draw people to come trapse around the beach, we have enough issues with burglars and theives as it is, and the less people we have from out of the area, the better. It is a beautiful and idyllic inlet which has no need for tourism or its money or for every joe and his dog to come over. Enough people know already

Hey.

did you see the camelot river. Was there much water in it?? What time of the year were you there, and do you think there is whitewater that is good for a kayak expedition?

Did you cross any other larger rivers<

Cheers.
